My "Desafío 60" by "Centro Comercial Las Terrazas"!

                   

   As I had said in the previous post, I had won an award when I attended the event organized by the Centro Comercial Las Terrazas last weekend.
The award was the "Challenge 60" and  the goal is  dressing up from head to toe with 60 euros and demonstrate that it isn´t  necessary to spend large sums of money to look good ... if you make it , they give you the money spent on it. So I can say today ... Objective Completed!

   Como había contado en el post anterior, yo había ganado un premio cuando yo asistí al acto que organizó el Centro Comercial Las Terrazas el pasado fin de semana.
   El premio era el "Desafío 60" y consiste en alcanzar el objetivo de vestirte de pies a cabeza con 60 euros y demostrar así no es necesario gastar grandes sumas de dinero para estar guap@...   si lo consigues, te regalan el dinero gastado en ello.  Así que yo puedo decir hoy... Objetivo Cumplido!







   Ok, ok .... I cheated and did not spend money on me .... but I know  that mothers understand me ..
   I thought that probably the rest of the girls who were blessed with this challenge whould  show their outfits, so I thought it would be good to show that  only the girls can´t  be dressed completely with that money,  also the guys would do it  ... and my son loved the challenge! We spent a few hours shopping together and sharing all the fun as we rarely do ... and it's fun to spend other people's money ... Not true??

  Vale, vale.... he hecho trampa y no he gastado el dinero en mi.... pero  que le vamos a hacer si soy madre... y se que las madres me entenderán..
  Yo pensé que probablemente el resto de las chicas agraciadas iban a mostrar sus outfits , así que pensé que sería bueno mostrar que no solamente las chicas  se pueden vestir completamente a la última con ese dinero, sino  que también pueden hacerlo los chicos...  y a mi hijo  le encantó  el desafío!  Pasamos algunas horas juntos de compras y compartiendo la diversion como pocas veces podemos hacerlo... y es que es muy divertido  gastar dinero ajeno... a qué si??

A pink lace Dress and a weekend...

     

   Really, the  pink lace dress was not for me ... from the beginning, this dress was designed and created for Antonella, .... pink lace and twenty years is a good combination, is not it??

   Realmente el vestido de encaje rosa no era para mi... desde el principio, este vestido fué pensado y creado para Antonella, ....  encaje rosa y veinte años es una buena combinación, no creen??

 

   It all started when we decided to go to enjoy the Awards of Fashion  & Outlet Best Fashion Blog ... where I was not participating, Antonella and I just went to enjoy some company blogger. The "Centro Comercial Las Terrazas" graced of some fashion blogs for a while and the ceremony was very nice ... the surprise was that all participants were within a drawing called "Challenge 60" which are elected ten blogs to challenge them to get an outfit with 60 €, if you succeed it, you get back the money and I went graced with one of them .. so soon you will see my "Challenge 60" here ...

   Todo comenzó cuando decidimos ir a disfrutar de la Entrega de Premios Fashion & Outlet al Mejor Blog de la Moda... donde yo no participaba, simplemente fuimos Antonella y yo a disfrutar de un rato de compañía bloguera. El Centro Comercial  Las Terrazas se vistió de blogs de moda por un rato y el acto estuvo muy agradable... la sorpresa fue que todas las asistentes  entraban dentro de un sorteo llamado "Desafío 60"  donde son elegidos diez blogs para retarlos a conseguir un outfit  con 60 euros, si lo consigues, te devuelven el dinero y yo fuí agraciada con uno de ellos.. así que proximamente veréis mi "Desafío 60" por aquí...



   The meeting gave us a chance to come back together and chat with bloggers who already I knew from before and also meet with some girls those I didn´t know before. ..

   El encuentro  nos dió oportunidad de volver a reunirnos y charlar con  blogueras que ya conocíamos de antes y también conocer a algunas chicas nuevas para mi..

 

   I had a chance  meet to Vicky, have a chat with Guaxara and meet in person   to "La estilista de Cenicienta" also, who designing  beautiful shirts ....

   Tuve oportunidad de conocer a Vicky , charlar un rato con Guaxara y conocer en persona también a "La estilista de Cenicienta" que diseña unas camisetas preciosas....

                         
                         
          

         


 

   After that,  the whole family went to toast by the birthday of my youngest son, was a good opportunity to share a bit of chat and good company ...
                         And some laughs too ....

      Después de eso nos fuimos toda la familia a brindar por el cumpleaños de mi hijo menor, era una buena ocasión para compartir un rato de charla y buena compañía...
                        Y algunas risas también....

   And the night continued on "Main Street of Triana", where it was celebrating the "Good Night Triana", a festival organized by  trade and the Council of Gran Canaria, a show on the street ... enjoy discounts in stores until twelve o'clock, unable to walk because of the amount of people ..
but the best part was meeting with a girl that I admire deeply for her way of enjoy life ... we knew us only through of our  blogs and when we are in the midst of the crowd, we  recognized us immediately and we hugged as good friends .. sorry for the hasty photo, but it was impossible to pose decently amid of sea of ​​people ...

   Y la noche siguió en la calle mayor de Triana , donde se estaba celebrando la "Good Night Triana", una fiesta que organizan los comercios y el Cabildo de Gran Canaria, todo un espectáculo en la calle... disfrutar de descuentos en las tiendas hasta las doce de la noche, imposible caminar debido a la cantidad de gente..
pero lo mejor fue encontrarme a una chica a la que admiro profundamente por su forma de ver la vida... solamente nos conocíamos a través del blog y cuando nos encontramos en medio de la multitud nos reconocimos inmediatamente y nos abrazamos como buenas amigas.. lo siento por la foto apresurada, pero era imposible posar decentemente en medio de una marea de gente...

                     

   And this was Friday night only ... There was much more on the rest of the weekend ... I think my bones take much longer to recover ....

  Y esto fué solamente el viernes por la noche... hubo mucho más el resto del fin de semana... creo que mis huesos tardarán muchísimo tiempo en recuperarse ....

                                                

"Nights of Pink Lace" Dress...

   And the dress is finished ... a small  sewing outburst which took two hours in the first afternoon and  three hours in the next afternoon, it  made ​​a delicate lace dress in five hours,  since I started cutting the fabric to the end.

   Y se terminó el vestido... un pequeño arrebato costuril que tomó dos horas en la primera tarde y tres horas  en la siguiente tarde, hicieron un delicado vestido de encaje en cinco horas desde que yo comencé a cortar la tela hasta el final.



   In reality this dress was zero cost ... since the time that I thought about using stretch lace fabric that was sleeping peacefully in my sewing cave for a little over ten years ago, I needed some knit fabric to line the bodice of the dress in the same colors as the fabric lace ... there was  a piece of knitted fabric in my stash  which was enough to cover the bodice of the dress ... I needed to get something to line the skirt ...

   En realidad este vestido ha tenido coste cero... desde el momento que yo pensé en usar la tela de encaje elástico que dormía plácidamente en mi cueva de costura desde hace algo más de diez años, yo necesitaba algún tipo de tela de punto para forrar el cuerpo del vestido en los mismos colores que la tela de encaje... en mi stash había un trozo de tela de punto que fué suficiente para forrar la parte superior del vestido... me faltaba por conseguir algo para forrar la falda...

                                                               

   The solution came when I found a huge pink shirt which waited patiently for its  turn to be of assistance selflessly ... so I cut this shirt since the  hem to high enough to serve inner skirt to dress ... a piece of elastic at the waist helps to stabilize this area.

   La solución vino cuando yo encontré una camiseta enorme en color rosa que esperaba pacientemente a su turno para servir de ayuda desinteresada... así que yo corté esta camiseta desde el dobladillo a una altura suficiente para que sirviera de falda interior al vestido... un trozo de elástico en la cintura ayuda a estabilizar esta zona .

                                

                                  

   Finally I resolved the dilemma that I had in the previous post about how I was going to do the finishing the neckline and hem of the sleeves ... I just sewed strips with two layers of fabric and the serger gave the finishing touch. Problem solved ...

   Finalmente resolví el dilema que yo tenía en el anterior post sobre como iba a hacer los acabados del cuello y los dobladillos de las mangas... simplemente he cosido tiras de las dos capas de tela y la remalladora dió el toque final. Problema resuelto...

 

   Once the dress was finished, was pending the dilemma of how to keep the dress, already to place it on a hanger in the traditional way was a big problem, so I opted for sewing two belts at the waist to hang it from there, in this way the sleeves are safe from unnecessary stretching ...

   Una vez terminado el vestido quedaba pendiente el dilema de como guardar el vestido , ya que colocarlo en una percha de la manera tradicional  era un gran problema , así que yo opté por coser en la cintura dos cintas para poder colgarlo desde ahí, de esta forma las mangas están a salvo de estiramientos innecesarios...

                             

    

              

              

   I love the end result ... so now I will finish that what I have yet to finish like a good and responsible girl ....

   El resultado final me encanta... así que ahora voy  a terminar lo que tengo pendiente de acabar como una niña buena y responsable....           

                                                      

Nights of delicate lace....

                       
         

   Like the song "Nights in White Satin" .... Yesterday afternoon I had an unexpected idea and I had to stop what I was doing (... and what I should be doing now) and look like hell a fabric that I had saved for many years in my cave sewing ... not satin white fabric, but soft lace ....

      Igual que dice la canción "Noches de blanco satén".... ayer por la tarde se me ocurrió una idea inesperada y tuve que dejar lo que estaba haciendo  (... y lo que tendría que estar haciendo ahora mismo) y buscar como una posesa una tela que tenía guardada desde hace muchos años en mi cueva de costura... no es tela de blanco satén, sino de suave encaje ....

                               

   Well, continuing whit this little story ... I've told other times that the vast majority of small ideas come to my mind without  I ask them ...  they assault me ​​by surprise at every corner ... while I try to sleep ... or in this case when I should be down to work with three dresses that I have pending ... but I can not avoid it .. it´s like an electric shock that occurs in my brain and is divided by every nerve in my body ... I have to go for it immediately ...

   Y bien, remontando esta pequeña historia... ya te he contado otras veces que la gran mayoría de las pequeñas ideas que se me ocurren vienen a mi mente sin yo pedirlas... me asaltan por sorpresa en cualquier esquina..., mientras intento dormir... o en este caso cuando debería estar mano a la obra con tres vestidos que tengo pendientes... pero no puedo evitarlo.. es como una descarga eléctrica que se produce en mi cerebro y se reparte por todos los nervios de mi cuerpo... tengo que ir inmediatemente a por ello...



    So, you remember that in the previous post I had mentioned the idea to altering the last T-shirt that I sewed to  Antonella, making it a light dress ...
    It occurred to me that there was a  elastic lace fabric  stored for many years in my sewing cave  and thought about using it for this project with the variation of line the whole bodice dress with knit fabric and let the sleeves with transparent lace ...

   Entonces, recordarás que en el post anterior yo te había comentado la idea de tranformar la última camiseta que le había cosido a Antonella, convirtiéndola en un vestido ligero...
   Se me ocurrió que había una tela de encaje elástico guardada desde hace muchos años y pensé en usarla para este proyecto con la variación de forrar todo el cuerpo del vestido con tela de punto y dejar las mangas con el encaje transparente...

                         

   Yesterday, I finished all the bodice of the dress in two hours  and just missing join the skirt  and put the neck strap ... and find a way to finish the hem of the sleeves .... a small challenge ...

    Ayer, en dos horas ya tenía todo el cuerpo del vestido terminado y solamente falta unir la falda y colocar la tira del cuello ... y buscar la forma de acabar el dobladillo de las mangas.... un pequeño reto...

Striped T-Shirt 02/2013 #126, Blue Blossom....

                    

   I always heard that May is the month of flowers ... so to celebrate it, I completed a quick project, one of those that  takes more time to thought it  than to do ... a very blossom  T-shirt to celebrate the beginning of this month ...

   Siempre he oído que Mayo es el mes de las flores... así que para celebrarlo he completado un proyecto rápido, de esos que tardas más en pensarlo que en hacerlo...  una camiseta bien floreada para celebrar el comienzo de este mes...



   The choice was  the T-shirt that appears on the  BurdaStyle, 02/2013#126, a  T-shirt very fast that  didn´t  need any adjustment ...

   La elección cayó en la T-shirt que aparece en la revista Burdastyle de Febrero de 2013, el modelo 126. Una camiseta muy rápida y que no necesitó ningún tipo de ajuste...



   Antonella chosen for this T-shirt a very fine jersey knit fabric, I think that this fabric  also carries some polyamide in its composition by its touch so soft , and it´s  really comfortable ... I'm thinking back to repeat this top adding to the hem a  gathered  skirt and turn  it in a summer dress ...

    Antonella eligió para esto una tela de punto jersey muy fina, creo que también lleva en su composición algo de poliamida por el tacto tan suave que tiene, y debe ser realmente cómoda... estoy pensando en volver a repetir este top añadiendo al dobladillo una falda fruncida y convertirlo en un vestidito de verano...
